1) Who we are and what this is
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and [Vee the Firefly LLC] (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”) that govern your access to and use of our websites, mobile pages, digital products, books, downloads, videos, communities, events, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please do not use the Services.
Be kind, be honest, use our content as intended (educational/peer support), don’t copy or exploit it, and understand we’re not your therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor
2) Eligibility (who may use the Services)
-
You must be 18 years or older to use the Services and to purchase memberships or digital products.
-
If you are under 18, you must have a parent/guardian review these Terms and use the Services only with their permission and supervision.
-
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
3) Changes to the Terms or Services
We may update these Terms and/or the Services at any time. If we make material changes, we’ll post the new Terms with a new “Effective date.” Your continued use means you accept the changes.
4) Accounts, security, and your responsibility
-
You may need an account to access certain features (e.g., community, membership). Provide accurate information and keep it updated.
-
You’re responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account.
-
If you suspect unauthorized use, contact us immediately at info@veethefirefly.com.
5) Educational purpose, not professional advice (important)
The Services are for general informational, educational, and peer-support purposes only. We do not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Nothing on the Services is a substitute for professional care.
-
If you’re in distress or crisis in the U.S., call or text 988 or use local emergency services.
-
Always consult qualified professionals or your school’s official resources for personalized advice.
6) Community standards (be a good human)
When you participate in our community spaces (e.g., forums, live sessions, comments), you agree to:
-
Treat others with respect. No harassment, hate speech, bullying, doxxing, or illegal content.
-
No cheating, plagiarism, selling answers, or violating your school’s policies.
-
No obscene or sexually explicit content, and no content that exploits or harms minors.
-
No spam, scams, or self-promotion unless expressly permitted.
-
Follow moderators’ directions. We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion.
We may (but are not obligated to) monitor and moderate content. Report concerns to info@veethefirefly.com.
7) Your content and our license to use it
If you post, upload, or submit content (“User Content”), you:
-
Retain ownership of your content.
-
Grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and display your content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Services (including replays, testimonials, and community features).
-
Confirm you have the rights to post it and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights or break any laws.
-
Agree we can remove your content if it violates these Terms or our policies.
If you provide feedback (ideas, suggestions), you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it without restriction or compensation.
8) Our content and your license to use it
All content we provide—including text, videos, books, printables, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software—is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Services and purchased items for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not:
-
Copy, distribute, sell, or publicly display our content without written permission.
-
Modify, translate, or create derivative works (beyond your personal use).
-
Remove trademarks, copyright notices, or proprietary legends.
Permitted personal use examples:
-

Uploading our paid content to public drives.
-
Selling our materials, using them in your own commercial products, or redistributing to your audience.
-
Training an AI model on our content.
If you want a license for educational institutions or group use, contact info@veethefirefly.com.
9) Third-party services, links, and affiliates
We may link to third-party sites, tools, or resources (e.g., YouTube, payment processors, community platforms). We don’t control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content or policies. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
We may use affiliate links and earn a commission if you buy through them. We disclose this where required.

-
Ambassadors or campus reps are independent and must follow our guidelines. We may modify or end programs at any time.
12) Acceptable use (please don’t)
You agree not to:
-
Use the Services for unlawful purposes or to violate school policies or academic integrity.
-
Interfere with or disrupt the Services or networks.
-
Attempt to access accounts or data without authorization.
-
Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code.

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
-
Use bots or scraping tools to copy large portions of the Services.
-
Use the Services to exploit or harm minors.
13) Accessibility and inclusion
We aim to make our content accessible (e.g., captions, readable fonts, high contrast where possible). If you encounter barriers, please email info@veethefirefly.com, so we can help.
14) Intellectual property concerns and takedowns (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to our agent:
DMCA Agent
Email: info@veethefirefly.com
Include: (1) your contact info; (2) description of the copyrighted work; (3) the URL or location of the allegedly infringing material; (4) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; (5) a statement that the information is accurate and you’re authorized to act; (6) your signature.
We may remove content and, if appropriate, terminate repeat infringers’ accounts.
15) Disclaimer of warranties
The Services and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any particular outcomes (grades, friendships, financial changes, mental health results).
16) Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from or related to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; in that case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
17) Indemnification (if we get dragged into your mess)
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights or laws.
18) Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, remove content, and/or cancel purchases if we believe you’ve violated these Terms, applicable law, or community standards, or if needed to protect users. You may also close your account at any time. Certain sections of these Terms survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities).
19) Governing law; venue; dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the District of Columbia for any claims not subject to arbitration.
20) International use and export controls
You’re responsible for compliance with local laws. You agree not to use or export the Services in violation of U.S. export laws or regulations.
21) Communications and electronic notices
By using the Services, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (e.g., email, in-product messages). We may send important notices to the email address associated with your account.
22) Force majeure (stuff nobody controls)
We’re not responsible for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government actions, internet outages, strikes, pandemics).
23) Entire agreement; severability; waiver
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service-specific terms, are the entire agreement between you and us. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
